Americas HyCO
William J. Hammarstrom is vice president, Americas HyCO, at Air Products. He is responsible for the profitability and growth of the of the company’s HyCO franchises and stand-alone plants in the Americas region.
Mr. Hammarstrom joined Air Products in 1988, initially in the Merchant Gases division. Following assignments in business development and business management with the large plant and pipeline team in Texas from 1995-2002, he spent three years in Thailand as deputy managing director for the company’s joint venture, Bangkok Industrial Gases. In 2005 Mr. Hammarstrom moved to The Netherlands to assume the position of general manager for the Rotterdam/Antwerp franchise, and in 2008 he was named director, Tonnage Gases Europe, based in Hersham, U.K. With the impending Gulf Coast Connection Project and the joining of the Louisiana and Texas pipeline franchises into one business, he was appointed general manager, Gulf Coast Tonnage Gases, in 2011.
Mr. Hammarstrom holds a B.A. degree in economics and an MBA from Tulane University.
